International Miners’ Mission

About IMM

The mining industry is a huge industry. The miners working at large companies do quite well financially, but sometimes they are separated from their families for long periods of time, so are often exposed to many temptations, including drinking, gambling and the sex industry.

However most miners work in poor and dangerous conditions, without the benefit of modern machinery or good health and safety care, some living in remote places, scratching a living such as those panning for gold or diamonds.

But whatever their situation economically or socially, their need to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to respond to it.

The IMM has had the vision for over 100 years of “Introducing Miners to the Master” by taking the message of hope and reconciliation through Jesus Christ to these often neglected people. This is an incredible accomplishment, and it is a testament to the dedication of the IMM to its cause. The IMM has been able to make a difference in the lives of so many miners, and it is clear that this will continue for years to come.

The International Miners’ Mission (IMM) evangelizes and ministers to miners, their families and others in mining regions around the world under God’s direction, in partnership with indigenous Churches and Ministries.

It is active throughout the world, with projects underway in 13 countries.

If you would like to support the IMM you can give a donation. This can help build a rural church for a mining community, provide funds for pastors to visit miners at work, buy equipment for female miners or help construct a new school.
